Pro Vice Chancellor

The President, and Chancellor of  Bangladesh  Agicultural University (BAU)  has appointed internationally  reputed  animal nutrition scientist and dean of Animal Husbandry Faculty of BAU,  Professor Dr.Md. Jasimuddin Khan, as the first  pro-vice-chancellor of  the university for next four years on January 22.  Earlier he was the advisor of Students Affairs of the university .

He obtained BSc(Hon.) in Animal Husbandry in 1974 and MSc (Animal Husbandry ) in  Animal Nutrition in 1975 from Bangladesh Agricultural University . Later he obtained Ph.D degree  from Agricultural Institute of  Saint Petersburg of  Russia in 1987 and was post doctoral fellow at many renowned universities of the UK , Japan, Austria and Germany from   the years of 1993 to 2011 .
He joined as teacher in the Department of Animal Nutrition in BAU in the month of October in 1976 . Later he was promoted as professor in 1995 . He wrote two books on Animal Husbandry, and more than 100 research articles of him were published in  national and international journals .

He served in different important posts of  BAU including  vice-chancellor in-charge, BAU Syndicate member , convener of Dean Council, head of the Department of Animal Nutrition, provost, controller of examinations.
Besides he is involved in different services-- editor of Journal of Animal Science, coordinator of German Academic Exchange  Service and member of  BAU  Teachers Assocation. 
Professor Dr. Md. Jasimuddin Khan was born  in a  Muslim family in  Gazipur Sadar upazila of Gazipur district  on  May 1 of  1952 .
