Research Interest:    The various new/advanced techniques in the field of Food Microbiology and Food Biotechnology by identifying and characterize of lactic acid bacteria from fermented foods as well as traditional fermented foods. The assessments of various health beneficial properties like antimicrobiall substances (Bacteriocin) activities, antimutagenic activities, Angiotensin I-Converting Enzymes inhibitory activities and Probiotics characteristics  of beneficial bacterial strains. The production of probiotic fermented foods by protective starter culture in food fermentations used as food biopreservatives or medicine and pharmaceutical uses. Molecular and genetically improving food grade bacteria for high energy value food products. Motivation the farmers to rearing dairy animals, feeding of urea treated straw, urea molasses block etc. Motivation to cultivation of high yielding feeds and fodder for the increasing milk production and beef cattle production. Development of livestock resources information systems with their database applications.

Worked as a Principal Investigator in the project entitled “Quality evaluation and detection of adulteration of raw milk at producers, local market and goalas at different district in Dhaka Division” sponsored by University Grants Commission, Dhaka, Bangladesh during 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014.

Worked as a Principal Investigator in the project entitled Characterization of probiotic lactic acid bacteria isolated from natural flora to improve microstructure and physical appearance of traditional dahi/yoghurt as functional food in Bangladesh” sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the Peoples Republic, Dhaka, Bangladesh during 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013.

Worked as a Co-Investigator in the project entitled “Reducing Risk from Arsenic Contamination for Poor People to Assess the Transfer of Arsenic from Feed and Contaminated Water to Poultry Birds and Dairy Cattle” funded by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) from April 2010 to June 2011.
